New Mexico State University 9th Annual Public Health Heroes Awards
NMSU Department of Public Health Sciences is honored to celebrate the 9th annual Public Health Heroes Awards. The three awardees represent military health, border health, and mental health. Candyce Luna, Integrated Operational Support Team Manager, Holloman Air Force Base, receives the Individual Award for building the healthy military community with innovative healthcare integration. The Border Infectious Disease Surveillance Program (BIDS) with Melissa Limon, BIDS Surveillance Epidemiologist, receives the Community Program award for distinguished service and outstanding contributions for binational work with Mexico. Dylan Pell, Mental Health Epidemiologist, NM Department of Health, receives the Rising Star Award for outstanding public health contributions as a rising leader promoting healthier communities.
